"The essence of true art is not to make something beautiful, but to convey a feeling" Constantin Brancusi
Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957), a Romanian-born sculptor, moved away from the realistic expressions of his previous sculptures and sought his own unique style, achieving an unprecedented level of abstraction. He is known as a writer who established free expression. His style has had a great influence on the art world of the 20th century, including Isamu Noguchi. The combination of his extracted shapes and the expressive power of materials gives us a strong sense of his minimalist beauty and highly honed philosophy. This exhibition will not only introduce his sculptures, but also a variety of other works by him, including photographs and paintings, providing an opportunity to learn about his creative journey throughout his life from various angles.
